This exquisite print is taken from a photograph of an antique Chinese screen. Often known as ‘Coromandel’ screens (which is actually a misnomer, as Coromandel is an area in India where the screens were originally thought to be created), they were typically intricately carved with scenes from mythology and nature, and coated with a special lacquer.
